This year's 10th annual celebration of Arlington Park's Fiesta In The
Park on Sunday, July 17, 2011 will prove to be a sure bet for family entertainment with the addition of a Chicago Fire Soccer team, Live salsa music and dancers, along with our tradition of highlighting Mariachi and Ballet Folklorico dance. The ever present excitement of Arlington Park's world class horse racing will also add some spice all day long!
Each year, this special bilingual event continues to grow in attendance with both Latinos and the greater community, making it the largest single day suburban Latino fiesta outside the City of Chicago (over 12,000 attended Fiesta in 2010) . "Fiesta In The Park" is now considered a legacy event, drawing Latinos from throughout the suburbs annually,” commented Jerry Campagna of MST Latino, promoter of Fiesta since it’s inception in 2002.
"Fiesta In The Park is our way of celebrating the contributions Latinos have made to the sport of horseracing, both on the track with our jockeys and through the venue with our staff," commented Ken Kiehn, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Guest Services, "it's also our way of celebrating the rich Latino culture which has grown with our communities in the western suburbs."
